Dr. Clare L. Coda is a board-certified physician in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics who practices in Beverly Hills. She provides comprehensive primary and preventative care for newborns through geriatric patients, and believes in a strong partnership between patients and their physicians.
She is originally from the East Coast and received her medical degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She completed her residency training and served as Chief Resident at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended Juniata College for her undergraduate studies, and prior to starting medical school volunteered with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps working for a year in a homeless shelter. She spent several years in Papua New Guinea growing up with her family, and many months in sub-Saharan Africa throughout high school and medical training volunteering at village hospitals. Her research interests in Uganda included the use of bedside ultrasound as a diagnostic tool in a resource-limited setting.
Dr. Coda provides up-to-date evidence-based care and strives to assure that patients, and their families if desired, are closely involved in their own medical care through a shared decision-making process. Her goal is to help patients have a clear understanding of their medical conditions to promote healthy living, prevent disease, and to care for long term medical conditions.
In her free time, Dr. Coda enjoys backpacking in Northern California, trialing new hobbies, and traveling around the world.
