She started at Clater Jewelers in August 1994. She remembers her first day vividly, "we were so busy and I’m not one to just let people wait, so I jumped right in and started waiting on customers. Mr. Clater had to help me fill out the tickets. I also learned how to string pearls on my very first day. This is a job that I still do to this day." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Her favorite piece of jewelry is her wedding set. "I love that my engagement ring came from my husband, Forrest and my wedding band is a family heirloom. This is something that I hope to pass down to my daughter, Leland."⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
