By having your pet regularly groomed, you will not only keep your pet looking their best, but you will also ensure that there are no potential skin or bug problems that you might not have noticed in your day-to-day dealings with your beloved animal.
Fleas are a common problem for many dogs, particularly those that spend many hours a day outside. A professional groomer can inspect your pet for fleas and ticks and use a medicated shampoo to help remove them. You will also need to treat your home or yard to make sure the fleas don’t return.
When it comes to the health of your dog or cat, you want to do everything possible to ensure they have a long and happy life. Be sure to always check before giving your pet any type of human medication, as some can be toxic to them. Also, feeding your cat dog food or tuna instead of cat food can actually cause malnourishment.
Most experts agree dogs experience the world more through their sense of smell than in any other way. Depending on the breed, a dog can have a sense of smell more than one million times more sensitive that of a human being. It's no wonder some experts believe dogs can smell cancer and other diseases.
