Certified Executive Chef Bertrand Artigues grew up in a small French village where he earned an apprenticeship specializing in charcuterie. After moving to Erie, PA, Artigues secured a position cooking at a private club, where he moved up the ranks, honing his skills along the way, eventually becoming the executive chef at Erie's Kahkwa Club. With years of experience under his belt, he finally opened his own restaurant--Bertrand's Bistro--on Perry Square in the heart of downtown Erie. While there, he completed the courses and requirements to become a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation. He eventually went on to re-establish the Northwest Chapter of the Pennsylvania Restaurant Association, even being recognized as Restaurateur of the Year by the organization. Now, Chef Bertrand is focusing on being an outstanding business person and growing his business by expanding his culinary reputation to his new venture--Cloud 9 Wine Bar.
