Crawford Memorial Hospital employs licensed Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Speech-Language Pathologists.

We offer specialty care across multiple settings, including inpatient, outpatient, Home Health, and the Magnolia Center.

Our Physical Therapists evaluate and treat disabilities and injuries of the muscles, bones and joints. They focus on rehabilitating the patient to restore function, reduce the risk of injury and prevent further functional decline. Some common diagnoses that may benefit from Physical Therapy include: musculoskeletal conditions (ex. knee and back injuries, sprains and strains),neurological conditions (ex. Stroke, Parkinson's Disease), post-surgical conditions (ex. knee replacement, spinal surgery).

Our Occupational Therapists evaluate and treat patients to improve the ability to perform daily tasks of living (dressing, bathing, feeding, cooking, etc.) and to improve the function of the upper extremities (hands, arms, shoulders). They focus on increasing your independence and safety when orthopedic or neurological deficits occur. Occupational Therapists may also perform home safety evaluations and make recommendations to improve your functioning within your home environment. Some common diagnoses that may benefit from Occupational Therapy include: carpal tunnel syndrome, upper extremity fractures, stroke, neurological deficits (ex. Parkinson's), arthritis, orthopedic surgeries, and sensory processing deficits secondary to autism or developmental delays.

Our Speech-Language Pathologists evaluate and treat children and adults with speech, language, cognition and swallowing disorders. We can treat congenital and developmental disorders in the pediatric populations as well as acquired problems related to stroke, brain injury and other neurological conditions in the adult population.
Our Speech-Language Pathologists customize treatment programs for individuals who may have the following diagnoses: pre-feeding or feeding disorders, speech delay, language delay, developmental delay, autism, dysarthria, apraxia, aphasia, memory deficits, and swallowing difficulty.
