Active solar heating systems store the sun's heat in a solar collector and use that heat to warm the air, which is then distributed throughout your home through the use of ducts.
Boilers, in general, are slightly less efficient than furnaces. They also use either natural gas or oil as fuel. Gas boilers and oil boilers are both from 82% up to 90% efficient.
When tests are conducted for gas leaks, there is more to consider even though a “positive” reading is not returned. Neither “negative” nor “not found” can be relied upon to mean a problem does not exist; it only means that a test was not positive.
