If the weather holds up we expect an early start to the season to begin with we are going to control overwintering insects like ticks because we have not had much cold weather and very little die back ticks will be active early this year. We are also going to apply crabgrass control earlier with longer windows of control on prevention of crabgrass. We finally finished our season the day before Thanksgiving. I t was our latest finish in over 20 years and some people have not cleaned up leaves and we were forced to skip the last treatments which are among the most important ones of the year. For fleas and Ticks lower populations mean less insect activity in the spring, and late November fertilizer stores carbohydrates. Mass passed a law that states you can not apply fertilizer after November 30 or before March 1st due to runoff. I am not sure about the law I am just glad that we finished in time .
As the leaves begin to fall it is a good idea to regularly remove them by mowing them up or taking up heavy amounts of leaves. Leaves left on lawn starve the lawn of oxygen and the grass blades wilt and die also be sure to keep leaves off new seeded areas.

I have been in this industry for 40 years and people are the worst now than at any other time . I hate even answering the phone when people are determined to get their way and complain when you say no to them.
