We had a wonderful time participating in the Alzheimer’s Walk at Collinwood. It was different this year. We enjoyed some breakfast snacks and then employees and a few residents watched the opening ceremony via the computer. (hooked to the big TV) We then walked a mile around the sidewalks of Collinwood spreading out as we walked. All had a good day!

On September 12th Collinwood staff and their families will be doing the Alzheimer’s walk on our property instead of the way we have done it in previous years. All of the residents and staff received a nice treat today! We were given a donation to give everyone ice cream Sundays with the works! The residents especially enjoyed this deliciousness!! Thank you Marketplace Chaplains!!

Come one, come all for our drive through trick or treating on Friday, October 30th from 1pm-4pm. Children, grandkids or adults who wish it was still socially acceptable for them to trick or treat, all are welcome! We will have treats for everyone and the staff would love to see your fun costumes!! Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃

Thank you Collinwood Assisted Living & Memory Care, Fort Collins, and Better People Care LLC for sharing your grant funds with all the organizations involved with the Visiting Kittens program. Thank you to Senator Joann Ginal for showing your support for programs which enrich the lives of our Elders in care communities. We have been honored to partner with Animal Friends Alliance to help their volunteers and staff become increasingly more dementia-friendly.

We had a great Veteran’s Day celebration honoring our service men living and working at Collinwood. We were also blessed to have a Pearl Harbor survivor give a presentation that our residents thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks goes out to all that serve to defend our country!!🇺🇸

It was wonderful to have our hug tunnel on Friday! All that participated enjoyed it thoroughly!! We hope to do it again in January.
