At Barton House, we believe in maintaining independence for our resident's as long as possible. It is important that our residents maintain their privacy and dignity, while enjoying life at Barton House. We provide a variety of activities for our residents that are senior specific. Our programming starts when the residents wake up in the morning and ends when they retire for the night. Our day is filled with familiar daily activities, such as senior exercise, art, board games, music, music therapy, massage therapy, bingo and many other activities. Several times a month we bring in entertainers. Our planned and directed activities are used to encourage participation. Barton House is based on a social module that provides no fail activities and are planned and supervised by activity personnel seven days a week. A daily structured activity program is one of the most powerful, effective interventions for Alzheimer's Disease.
