Lisa A. Perryman, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is the founder and president of Colorado Colon & Rectal Specialists in Parker, Colorado. Dr. Perryman is board certified in colon and rectal surgery and is a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. She provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services, including laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer, and for a variety of acute and chronic conditions, such as: hemorrhoids, anal fistulas and abscesses, anal itching, pilonidal cysts, anal skin tags, and rectal bleeding and pain.
Prior to founding Colorado Colon & Rectal Specialists, Dr. Perryman served as the chief of general surgery at a Salt Lake City, Utah, hospital. She also participated in clinical immunology research at the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes in Aurora, Colorado, and at Amgen, Inc., in Boulder, Colorado. She affiliates with Centura Health hospital in Parker, Colorado, HealthOne in Lone Tree, Colorado, and UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital.
Dr. Perryman earned her medical degree and a master of science degree in pathology from the Chicago Medical School in Chicago, Illinois, graduating in the top 5% of her medical school class and earning numerous honors and awards. She went on to complete a seven-year residency in general surgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis before finishing her fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Perryman makes herself available to patients 24/7, 365 days a year. She takes a personalized approach to treatment and care, encouraging patients to partner in the management of their health conditions. Dr. Perryman is also highly regarded for her colonoscopic adenoma detection rate, which is 27% higher than the national benchmark and increases annually.
