At Colorado Consultants for Roofing, our mission is to build and maintain a bridge of understanding between Owners, Architects, General Contractors and Roofers. Regardless of who hires us, we judge all projects with a fair and open perspective.
Why is A Fair Perspective Important?
A lot of consultants out there follow the directions and ideas of whatever makes them the most money, without knowledge or care to the honesty or quality of their statements, calling roofs they know are near perfect “unfixable” in order to appease a customer, or calling roofs that they know will fail within 5 years “perfect”. One of the main reasons Colorado Consultants for Roofing was formed was because Steven Barnes would talk to “Consultants” that could not even identify the type of roof, and would pull up specs from different products that were neither chemically or visually similar. To make matters worse, these unqualified or blatantly falsified reports could result in bill disputes, lawyers, voided warranties, arbitration, etc. In the end, a bad consultants report can create more damage then what the original roof had.
So What Makes Colorado Consultants for Roofing Different?
When performing consultations, we specifically inspect with the experience of both a roof installer and an inspector, looking for things that might be hidden by the contractor. Additionally, as opposed to saying “That’s _____ job to inspect”, we specifically look for those gray areas that are commonly ignored. Before stating corrective actions, we look at the process to repair, at whether attempting to fix it could create more issues, or if it would result in complete removal and replacement to correct. We don’t give a generic pass/fail judgement, we give reasonable evaluations with a variety of potential corrective actions. The most important thing is that the roof will last and provide peace of mind, We are not here to sell you a new roof, or to shame a competing contractor. At Colorado Consultants for Roofing, our mission is to provide fair, honest, and accurate reports.
