In 2018 I was selected by Julie to design a very special courtyard garden in honor of her mother, Carolyn. Julie sent me this photo today of the garden, now 2 years mature. She is very proud of the garden and I am so fortunate that she chose me to create such a lovely memorial now known as Carolyn's Garden. Showcase Landscape and Irrigation installed the garden and water feature and Rocky Mountain Fence and Deck installed the overhead trellis.
Landscape design and ongoing project installation photos for new construction backyard in Windsor, Colorado. Steep side yard slopes with window wells did not allow access of a lawn mower from front to back and so homeowner decided on no grass for the rear yard. Using a breeze walkway to raised vegetable planters and through the yard leading to a circular area for a bench creates movement in the landscape. A combination of pea gravel, shredded wood mulch and cobble of various sizes breaks up the bed lines and adds interest to the flow of the design. The water feature adds interest and buffers surrounding noise. Eventually additional plantings will ground cover most of the beds to create a foundation of greenery. As the deciduous tree matures it will add much needed shade to the area. The evergreen tree and ornamental grasses will provide winter interest. When deciding on a no grass yard, using pathways and various rock sizes and types along with wood mulches can provide great shape, form, movement, and flow to a landscape. Construction to be completed in 2020. Design by Colorado Vista Landscape Design, Inc., Installation by Showcase Landscape and Irrigation.
This landscape design I designed in the fall of 2019 and was installed in the Spring of 2020. This entire landscape remodel for front and back yards in Windsor Lake in Windsor, Colorado was such a treat to design and construct. The plants are small now but in a year or two they will fill out the dry stream and all beds. This project included a new front yard covered porch with floor gas fire pit, new front yard landscaping and backyard landscaping, including a new deck, flagstone patio and walk area with fire pit, covered pergola for grill and smoker, landscape lighting and many many additional details. A wedding was hosted here last month (July of 2020) Design by Tanya Fisher, Colorado Vista Landscape Design, Inc., Landscape Installation by Showcase Landscape and Irrigation, Covered Patio/Porch by Rocky Mountain Fence and Deck.
In my garden enjoying mid-summer bloomers of coneflower, shrub roses, snapdragons, zinnias and annabelle hydrangea blooms twice the size of my hand. Grapes multiplying and a special shot of my girl, Hope. I love all seasons and all that the blooms of the season bring. If you look closely at the last photo you will find a hummingbird and butterfly enjoying the red zinnia blooms.

I was hired by the City of Evans, Colorado to design and remodel their entry gardens. Today I received an email from them expressing their delight with the design and outcome. I have attached a photo of the before, after and my design. I am truly grateful for the opportunities I receive in my landscape design career and the ability to share and contribute to our communities and environment. Tanya Fisher
