ISO: MORE MEN willing to serve on our Board of Directors and/or as Mediators!
Attention Grant and Adams County residents!
The CBDRC is offering a Basic Mediation Training over Zoom, August 18th, 19th and 20th!
We all face conflict on a daily basis. The conflict resolution skills you will learn will prove invaluable at work, within your family, at church, etc. and may even help you to prevent disputes.
If your intention is to eventually serve as a volunteer mediator, there will be no monetary expense for the training, internship or certification, though it will be somewhat of a time commitment.
The internship and certification process: Each Mediation last 3-5 hours.
Interns are required to complete 4 mediation Observations followed by 8 Co-Mediations. Afterwards, I and our other certified mediator will meet to discuss whether you are ready to receive your certification or if you need more training and practice.
Once certified, you will have regular opportunities to mediate as you are available to do so. Again, all mediators for Dispute Resolution Centers in WA State do so voluntarily.
On the other hand, if:
1) You are a teacher in need of Extended Education hours (Clock Hours)
2) You are an attorney in need of CLE credits
3) Your employer sends you to this training so that you may become a greater asset to the company
4) You want to make yourself more marketable in the job field
AND you do NOT intend to serve as a volunteer mediator for the center in your off-time, the fee for the 3-day Zoom training will be $525.00 and will need to be paid by August 17th, 2020.
For more information, to reserve your spot in the training and/or to pay your fee, please contact the center at (509) 670-0603.
There's just a few days left to sign-up! Don't miss out on this wonderful, fulfilling venture! Call now!
