"As the news tells us, we are seeing more Covid cases in many states. And the supply of gloves still struggles to try and catch up with the surging demand. As long as the pandemic continues to grow, we will continue to see more glove shipment delays as the worldwide production capacity is far behind the needed demand at this time. Unfortunately, we expect supply may not catch up with demand on nitrile gloves for possibly a year and vinyl for at least 8 months. Until then, we will do the best we can for every existing customer to allocate as many cases as we can to you. Just in case you didn't know...We wanted to share a little bit about Columbine. Our parents. Louie and Wilma, started this business in 1969. He had been going to school for his CPA, while owning a janitorial company, and working as a janitor prior, while they were raising us four girls. While Mom was running the janitorial side, Dad began the supply end. The 4 girls all have worked here at one time or another. Marcy started in 1979 and Carolyn in 1988. We met our husbands at work, Kit (Marcy) and Robert (Carolyn), and both have made Columbine their home away from home as well. It is truly a family owned and operated business. Every employee that has worked here has become part of our family as well. Louie's health unfortunately got bad but he would continue to be here, sitting in his wheelchair, as this place was where he loved to be. He passed away in January of 2000. Marcy and Carolyn both continued on - Mom still comes over to take the deposits to the bank :) and we are very proud to be celebrating 52 years as 2021 starts. We want to take this time to say THANK YOU to each of you that have supported us throughout the years. We have customers that have been with us for over 30 years, and for that we are SO grateful. We aren't the BIG guy here, but we are one of the oldest janitorial supply companies here in Denver. We still offer that old fashioned personal touch and try to help find solutions, not just sell you product. We want to wish all of you a very healthy and happy New Year.
