COVID-19 vaccines are one of many important tools to help us stop this pandemic. As of February 8, 2021, more than 32 million people had received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. Almost 10 million of them had received both doses and are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Continue to do your part to protect yourself and others by practicing healthy habits. Remember to:
- Cover your mouth and nose with a mask when around others.
- Stay at least 6 feet from people who don’t live with you.
- Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces.
- Wash your hands often.
- Get the vaccine when it’s available to you.

COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective, and protect you from COVID-19, which can be severe. The benefits of getting a vaccine outweigh any mild short-term side effects you might experience. Even though these vaccines were developed in record time, they still went through a rigorous process to ensure safety and efficacy.
