From now through October 24, students in kindergarten through 12th grade who dine with us at Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord and show their server a school project will receive a free pass for Waters Edge Mini Golf.

Unfortunately due the challenges of large gatherings during this pandemic, our Fall Fashion Show was cancelled. Therfore, our first fundraiser this year is the Cheese Spread fundraiser. This year our cheese spread will be made by Ebys General Store to allay any concerns due to the virus. Remember to stock up for the holidays! The spreads freeze very well and come in three flavors. See below on how to order. All proceeds benefit various non-profits in our community.

The Youth Center is for Cocalico Middle School and High School Students to have a place to go on Tuesday nights! The students gather at the lighthouse with our volunteer staff where they get a meal, snacks, play fun games and here a message! All in a safe environment!

Kole Trupe’s 6th annual toy drive has come to an end. Toys were delivered to 12 local families through Ephrata Social Services, Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital, Lancaster General Hospital, Tower Health Reading Hospital, Shriner’s Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Mary’s Women’s Shelter of Reading. A special thank you to the Trupe family, The Central Berks Regional Police Department, The Berks County District Attorney’s Office, Beiler Printing, Sherrie Stetler and the Comfort Inn, Riviera Italian restaurant, Heck construction, The Cocalico school district, Al’s service center and Kountry Korner Drive-In. Thank you to everyone that donated toys and helped to make this a successful toy drive and to honor the memory of Kole Trupe.
