An important message regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
At Comfort Inn Des Plaines there is nothing more important than the health and wellbeing of our guests and team members.
We wanted to provide an update on some of the standard procedures that we do in order to ensure a healthy environment when you stay with us.
- Our breakfast team is wearing masks and gloves for our guest protection and peace of mind
- We sanitize the breakfast area before and after each shift
- Our guest service associates are wearing gloves
- Breakfast has been scaled back to include items that are either easily packaged, or are already prepackaged, per the most recent suggestions as provided by the CDC
- We clean and sanitize the front desk throughout the day.
- Hand sanitizer is available for our guests at the front desks
In our Guest Rooms and corridors we do the following:
- We wash and sanitize all our key cards
- Housekeepers are instructed to either use the approved Lysol spray or a bleach solution to clean hard surfaces, letting it soak for 10 minutes to allow solution to work
- Every door handle and surface is wiped down including those for our shuttle vans
- Every remote, phone and surface is throughly wiped down
- Leading to the guest room door handles, elevator buttons are wiped down
- We continue to go above and beyond what the CDC and other agencies are recommending for precautionary measures
We are asking our guests the following:
1. Please cover your mouth whenever you sneeze or cough with your elbow
2. Wash your hands for 20 seconds before interacting with our staff (signs are posted in every bathroom showing proper washing method)
3. If you have a fever or any symptoms that the CDC is saying could be a sign of the virus please reschedule your stay with us. We will waive all fees.
