Love this team!!! We packed and delivered activity boxes chock full of board games, coloring books, playing cards and other fun stuff to all our awesome hotel partners! We hope these few things help entertain our guests while they are away from home!!! Disclaimer: a couple team members weren't in the office and Julie Hinson was taking the picture LOL #CAREolinas

City of Kannapolis Prepares for Hurricane Florence
City of Kannapolis officials have been closely monitoring Hurricane Florence. Based on the most recent weather forecasts we expect to receive 6-10 inches of rainfall and wind gusts of up to 35 mph over the duration of the event. We will continue to watch the hurricane’s path closely as this forecast could change. Public Work crews have been working to clean storm drains and ditches to ensure rainfall can flow freely into the city’s storm drain systems and to avoid flooded streets as much as possible.
Police and fire staff are ready to respond to any emergencies if the need arises. The public should call 704-920-4200 for all NON-EMERGENCIES. Please help us by only calling 911 if you have an EMERGENCY.
We are also in touch with county and state officials and will be ready to request assistance and various other resources if necessary. We ask that you pay attention to official state/federal sources for current information.
We have setup a website for all Hurricane related information: www.kannapolisnc.gov/readykannapolis.
You will find some of the most frequently asked questions, resources and general information you may need in relation to hurricane preparedness. We will update this page as necessary during the hurricane event.
The City uses a variety of other information outlets to disseminate information including:
• Facebook (City Page and 911 Page), Twitter, Instagram, Next Door, LinkedIn
• Local newspaper, radio, television and magazine outlets.
• City Email Newsletter – subscribe by going to this link: www.kannapolisnc.gov/Enews-Emergency-Alerts
• In emergencies we use Blackboard Connect – a Reverse 911 system. If you have not done so sign up for this system: http://www.kannapolisnc.gov/Enews-Emergency-Alerts
(Please note you must sign up separately for both the email newsletter and the Blackboard Connect-Reverse 911 alert if you wish to receive both)
Note: Garbage and Recycling are operating on a regular schedule.
