What Caregivers of All Backgrounds Love About Senior Care
Head into this fall with a healthy perspective and a clear health checklist.
At every age, it’s crucial to keep up with our health screenings. The National Institute of Aging and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends these screenings for those age 50 and older:
● Blood pressure & cholesterol levels should be tested regularly
● Diabetes tests for people who have high blood pressure
● Colorectal cancer screenings
● Vision tests to detect diseases
● Hearing screenings to identify if seniors need aids.
● Depression evaluations as seniors experience life changes
● Vaccinations such as the flu shot can be life saving for older adults
Other vaccinations should be discussed with a health care provider.
Our Comfort Keepers can help seniors and their families keep track of appointments, arrange transportation, and more. Read more about how we can help you stay healthy: https://bit.ly/36kkxch

Balance grants us the ability to participate in the activities that bring us joy, like taking a walk, gardening, or dancing. 💃
As we age, the various components that affect our ability to balance, such as coordination, strength and vision, begin to change. Incorporating 20-30 minutes of simple movement exercises into your daily routine can help build muscle, improve balance and coordination, and decrease the risk of a fall or more serious injury. At Comfort Keepers, we want to ensure you or a loved one put their best foot forward every day.

Did you know? 💭 On average, adults with lower reported stress levels sleep more hours a night than adults with higher reported stress levels, according to American Psychological Association.
In fact, the brain chemicals linked to deep sleep are the same ones that tell our bodies to stop the production of stress hormones. 🧠 Quality sleep helps us be our best selves each day as we wake up feeling more refreshed and energized.
