We had a busy night working with Deptford Fire Department volunteers to kick off their branding and community engagement efforts. Keep your eyes open for their new brand and website coming out soon!
It was a pleasure to spend the morning with Woolwich Fire Company and Deputy Mayor Matthias on Saturday! We shot some great photos and video for their recruitment campaign.

This morning members went to the Salem County Fire Academy for their live burn training in the burn building. During this training, the members conducted hose handling and hose advancement up to the 2nd and 3 floors of the building. The room and contents were on fire which was set up by the academy instructors to reflect what a fire fighter experiences during a dwelling fire. After a short break they continued into a few scenarios with basement fires. The Woolwich Fire Department was honored to have Deputy Mayor Natalie Matthias from Woolwich Twp also attended today’s training to see how the members conduct their training at the burn building. She suited up in bunker gear, helmet and the appropriate PPE including an SCBA unit. She did not hesitate and went inside with the instructors and the Chief to see first hand the conditions and experience the members go through during a structure fire. Great job Deputy Mayor!
As a part of our recruiting efforts, we also had a film crew on hand to do live interviews with members and their experiences as a volunteer fire fighter for Woolwich Fire Company. This video will be released soon. We are excited to see the final footage and cannot wait to showcase today’s training.
