Help us welcome our newest team member Nikki! She is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has been with just just over a month. She is quickly learning the ropes and has been a great asset to the team. Nikki's favorite part of her job is to be able to help animals in every aspect of their medical care. In her spare time she enjoys horseracing with her horse Squeals, spending time with her kids, husband, and dogs Z, Ellie, and Derby. She would like to get her technician specialty in emergency care eventually.
Today's Staff Spotlight is on Condie. She is our Lead technician and has been with us since 2016. As a Certified Veterinary Technician she plays many roles in the hospital such as: Phlebotomist, Dental Hygienist, Anesthesiologist, Dog Walker, and Groomer just to name a few. Condie's favorite part of her job is snuggling ALL the kittens. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her daughter and having fires in her yard. Condie has 1 dog, Trixie and 2 cats Phantom and Teeny Sanguini.

Today kicks off National Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week! We are so excited to celebrate not only our 2 CVTs Condie and Nikki but our whole team. We have an AMAZING team and can't wait to spoil them all week long. We will be doing a spotlight on a different team member all week. #veterinarytechnicianweek
Brandie is our practice manager extraordinaire! She loves to help out wherever it is needed. Her favorite part of the job is managing the clinic's social media and inventory, the two things she hardly ever gets to do as she is generally too busy putting out fires, both literal and figurative. In her spare time she enjoys camping, kayaking, rollercoasters, video games, her dogs with underbites (Paisley, Taco, and Millie) and spending time with her family. We couldn't run the place without her, she is the glue that holds us all together.
Today's spotlight is Dr. Alpert. Dr. Alpert has been practicing at Community Animal Hospital since 2007! She has a passion for dentistry and pain management, two things that often go unmanaged. She is a great doctor to work for/with and we can't imagine CAH without her. She would really love to gain the equipment and knowledge for transcervical insemination. In her very little spare time she enjoys showing her champion basenjis (Hattie, Quill, Kara, and Mason), gardening, Pilates, and spending time with her daughters. She has a backyard agriculture project that involves chickens, and bunnies, and a very fun cat named Cherry.
Today's Spotlight is Cherie. Cherie joined the team in 2019. Her favorite part of her job is to see the cases progress from start to finish and see how much better the animals get after treatment. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, hiking, crafting and she is an avid reader. She has 2 cats Jefferey and Bernard. Cherie is hoping to start a family in the near future and is very excited for that.
Today's spotlight is Talon. Talon joined the team earlier this year. He says he doesn't really have a favorite part of the job, he really enjoys all aspects of it, though working with exotics is at the top of the list for him. He hopes to work toward obtaining his CVT and furthering his knowledge in the field. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his 2 little boys, camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting and working on his many cars. He has a pitbull (Grizz) 4 cats (PJ, Nymphadora, Chipper, and Popeye).
Today's spotlight is Kimberly. She has been with us since 2017. Her favorite part of her job is to be on the frontlines to get to know everyone and their pets when they come through the front doors. She loves to snuggle all the small dogs that come in. She is currently going to school for medical coding and billing and hopes to finish that in the near future. In her spare time she enjoys reading, crafting, podcasts about history and true crime, spending time with her family and co-workers. She has 2 cats (Henry and Matilda) and hopes to have a dog in the near future.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, hiking, having campfires. She has a menagerie of small critters her special needs chihuahuas (Fiona, Rocky, and Annabelle), her 3 guinea pigs, and a variety of fish.
