We're working on an exciting addition for a young family in River Forest. Tasked with adding a primary bedroom suite to an existing home, we've proposed a rear addition utilizing a black and white palette with a new Family Room on the 1st floor. Additionally, the existing home will be painted so as to be cohesive with the rear addition.
We previously wrote about an upcoming porch restoration project. Well, here are the latest renderings of the porch! We're excited to see this old home come back to life and appreciative of a client that shares that vision. In addition to the rendering, an old photo is included as well as the current condition.
We really enjoy restoring old homes to their original grandeur. Having completed the interior renovation of this house, we now turn our attention to the exterior where we are working with the home owner on a new front porch that will replicate the original porch as closely as possible. We have discovered old photos of the original front porch and have identified a "sister" house that will help us in the design. Stay tuned for updates on this beautiful house!
We just received Oak Park Zoning approval for this new front terrace for a client. We're utilizing smooth stucco and Shou-Sugi-Ban cedar in horizontal layers to contrast the existing ranch which has fake stone and brick in horizontal layers. Who says a fence can't be exciting?!
