If you are looking at stepping up your estimating game get ahold of the team at Agtek! I just got my license today and only using their online training videos I was able to do the following in a matter of 4 hours... Scale pdf to size, assign existing/proposed layers, elevate existing and proposed layers, define material areas/depths for quantities, verify work in 3d, create a volume calculation report, view on google earth and export to machine control field files. This is by far the most user friendly takeoff software I have put my hands on and this is a non-biased recommendation as we are not an Agtek dealer. If you would like to get ahold of my Agtek salesman that covers the southeast shoot me a message and I will send the contact over...Great guy!
