Cook Children's Hebron is now seeing all patients in office. All well visits are primarily in the morning and all sick visits are primarily in the afternoon. The separation is in an effort to minimize any potential exposure. We are taking all precautions we can to keep patients and staff safe such as wiping down all surfaces between patients and having families call from the parking lot so that we can minimize contact between families. If your child needs to be seen, please contact our office and we will do what we can to get you in as soon as possible. You can also schedule well and sick visits through your child's MyCookChildren's portal. *Please note that we are still offering video visits through your child's MyCookChildren's portal. These are scheduled when both parent and physician are in agreement to the video visit. They are also no longer 100% covered by insurance, as they were during the worst of the pandemic. The video visits are now billed as regular sick visits and are subjected to copays/deductibles. Please call our office with any questions regarding video visits.

Cook Children's February 25 at 8:53 PM · Our CARE Team received a *sweet* delivery today from a local Girl Scout. Eight-year-old Emma Martinez wanted to collect enough donations to send 40 boxes of her cookies to the team because (as she explained) her dad says, “They’re the best.” Emma’s father is a Fort Worth police officer assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit. Due to the nature of his work, he interacts with the CARE Team regularly and is aware of the tough job they have. Emma created a video asking people to donate to her project called “Cookies for Cook’s CARE Team.” She’s quite the salesperson because today she delivered 151 boxes of Girl Scout cookies valued at $764. To Emma, we say “Thank you” for thinking of the CARE Team! As a token of their appreciation, the team sent her home with a new toy.
Good news, families! Cook Children's has updated it's visitor policy and is now allowing two adults per visit. We know it's been challenging, especially parents of those itty bitty ones, to only have one adult bringing them to the office. We greatly appreciate everyone's help in doing as much as we all can to keep the other patients, families, and staff safe.
Cook Children's Hebron will continue to follow CDC recommendations. Masks will continue to be required at all office visits until further notice. All safety precautions we have been taking since the pandemic began will remain in effect for as long as we need to, in order to keep our patients and staff safe. We thank you for your help in this matter.
