Medical folks have had a rough year. Maybe rougher than most. Morale is pretty low across the nation.
Want to do something nice for a doctor, NP, PA, nurse, technician, medical office or hospital staff?
Get online and leave a good review for someone in the medical field who has helped you this year.
That sweet person who helped you on the phone. That physician that made the right diagnosis, or just sat down and listened to your concerns. That NP that really cared. That nurse who helped you through those new baby worries.
Give them a shout-out online. I promise, we read them. And they really do feel good to read.
A kind word could go a long way in a field where many are feeling isolated, scared, and frustrated this year.
Just some thoughts. Now for more coffee.

Another gem from one of my favorites: Posted @withregram • @healthiest_baby As a general rule of thumb, using simple gestures while you chat with your baby builds communication skills.
Communication skills develop before even the first
words are spoken. The natural gestures a baby uses are solid indicators about how a child’s language is progressing.
Just to be clear, examples of gestures including: holding up something to show it to you, pointing, arms up (for UP), blowing kisses, high five, and shaking head.
You can encourage gestures by modelling them . . . I.e. using them. A gesture should be used at the same time as the word is spoken. This is another simple habit to weave into your everyday activities that doesn’t take extra time or energy (especially if you typically use your hands while talking).
Babies typically start to use gestures around 8 or 9 months.
BIG TIP: Pay attention to these gestures. When a baby uses a gesture, put what your child is trying to communicate with you into words.
