What's your favorite Thanksgiving Recipe?
We asked one of our team members for her favorite and here's her recipe for Candied Yams
2lbs Sweet potatoes or Yams (about 6 medium)-Fresh or canned work (1 can (1lb 1oz) sweet potatoes).
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar (packed)
3T butter or margarine
3T light cream or milk
1/2t Salt
If using fresh sweet potatoes, prepare as directed. Cut the potato crosswise into 1/2-inch slices.
In medium skillet, combine brown sugar, butter, cream and salt; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly. Add sweet potato slices; stir gently until glazed and heated through.
Heat oven to 350°. Pour sweet potato mixture into buttered 1-Quart casserole; top with marshmallows. Bake 30 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed and golden brown.

Winter driving is coming... and pretending it's not, won't help! Spokane hasn't seen much snow, yet, but we all know it's coming. Be prepared with the basics like having your scraper ready, checking your tires and storing an emergency kit in your vehicle. Of course, when you're on the road make sure you're slowing down and maintaining extra stopping distance.
