2020 brought volatility to markets that has not been witnessed in a decade. The recession we entered in February and likely exited this June, was one of the shortest and deepest on record. August achieved multiple new all-time highs for major U.S. indices and September gave way to the fastest 10% correction in the technology heavy NASDAQ, which occurred in only three trading sessions. Despite this extreme volatility, the market remains resilient with positive returns for the year.

@coralgablestrust is proud to have joined 100 other women today Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Preservation Luncheon. 100 women from the South Florida’s philanthropic society attended the fashion-forward Preservation Luncheon, also known as the hat luncheon, as attendees were encouraged to wear stylish hats. Guests were seated at Vizcaya’s expansive gardens and Casino Mound for an elegant celebration of this National Historic Landmark.
The 2021 Vizcaya Preservation Luncheon raised vital funds for Vizcaya’s COVID Recovery Fund, which was established in July 2020, to help Vizcaya recover from devastating financial losses due to the pandemic.
Vizcaya has experienced a deficit of approximately $3 million with the loss of facility rentals, special events and tourism. The funds raised from the Preservation Luncheon will secure the future of Vizcaya for our community and keep Vizcaya strong for generations to come.
