Social Media - a wonderful way to keep in touch. Unfortunately, it's also a way for scammers to keep in touch.
Here's a warning from the FTC about some things to watch for. I'll add to their cautions about making purchases through Social Media ads - if you are going to buy, and if you don't know the seller, put as much insurance as you can into your transaction. Make your purchase through a credit card tied to PayPal - your credit card company provides insurance against fraud and PayPal, basically, guarantees all sellers with PayPal accounts. Plus, it's much harder for a scammer to actually get your credit card information if you are using PayPal as a blind!

The second COVID Rebate will be disbursed shortly. This is $600 per person. But what if the recipient is in an Assisted Living Facility, especially if they are on Medicaide, known as MediCal in California?
Assisted Living facilities are prone to "ask" for these funds in payment for services rendered, especially if the resident is receiving Medicaide/MediCal assistance. This is, to be blunt, not allowed.
