Happy Veterans Day to those who have served and those who are serving now. If anyone knows of any World War II vets in the Chicago Area, contact honorflightchicago.org or call 7732278387 so they can participate in this wonderful journey. There are thousands of WWII veterans in Illinois that could participate in this trip. So far they have sent 5000 vets to Washington. If they are unable to go to Washington, they still can go to the Chicago Airport and participate in the welcome home ceremony. Help honor these vets who gave so much.
If your basement is flooded above the receptacles, furnace, washer & dryer, or other appliances, you should not go down there until the water goes down or the electricity is turned off outside. Once the water is gone, everything needs to dry out thoroughly. Appliances and receptacles should be checked.

With all the ice that is building up on our roofs, you must be careful of ice over your electric meter. This ice can fall and damage your electric meter. The meter itself belongs to ComEd but the meter enclosure belongs to the homeowner. Stay safe out there
