RIGHT FROM THE INITIAL PHONE CALL IT WAS A VERY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. RAF, GIL, LUIS AND MATT CAME INTO OUR HOME, ALL WERE VERY VERY NICE PROFESSIONAL MEN . THE INSTALLATION WAS S SUCCESS IN SPITE OF THE RAIN. REALLY HARD TO SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THAT TEAM. IN A WORLD WHERE INCOMPETENCE IS ALMOST AN EPIDEMIC IT WAS A PLEASURE TO HAVE THESE MEN WORKING IN OUR HOME. 5 STAR DOSE NOT EVEN BEGIN TO SAY IT ALL. Gil, RAF and Luis installed a new Lenox furnace/AC in my condo yesterday. They were here on time, worked quickly and were done earlier than I expected. All my interactions with them were informative and friendly and at the conclusion of the installation they took the time to show me, and explain to me what they had done. The new thermostat is a bit of a challenge, but they got me started in the setup process so that I could complete it. Before they left they thoroughly cleaned the areas they had worked in and traveled through. You will be very fortunate if you get this crew to install your new furnace.

They were on time, explained all aspects of the installation, DID NOT make a mess and took my ancient furnace with them. I have used Cotti Johnson on three occasions for a new heating system install, a heating system inspection and and emergency call.
In every case they have been professional, provided an extremely fast response and have done what they said was needed at a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Some interesting history for your Friday:
The 19th century saw the invention of the radiator in Russia and the electric heater by Thomas Edison in 1883.
The use of boilers, radiators, and steam or hot water to heat homes became more popular after the Civil War. The White House and Capitol building were outfitted with steam heating systems in the 1840s. While large commercial and public buildings used steam, most homes were equipped with lower pressure hot water radiators because they were considered safer.
In the late 1800s, Dave Lennox manufactured and marketed a steel coal-fired furnace that used low-cost cast iron radiators to efficiently heat a home. This meant that people no longer had to huddle around the fireplace or a stove to keep warm.
