Cotton King was founded in 2006 when a young pro-wakeboarder Weston Cotton was sidelined while rehabing a shoulder injury. As a student attending Palm Beach Atlanic University, studying communications as his major with a minor in graphic design, he was asked by a good friend to create a new line of shirts for his mega marina in Palm Beach, Florida. Eager to please, Weston set out to design some very unique apparel for his close friend. When his friend said, "They look great. When can I have them?" Weston replied, "I will have to get back to you!" Not having any idea on how he was going to get this done, he contacted the local surf shop that he was once sponsored by when he was a teenager and asked who printed all of their apparel. Weston was told to contact Tom King at OBU (est. 2001) who was the owner of the company that they used to print all of their private label store apparel. Tom and Weston immediately hit it off, after some time Tom approached Weston about starting another company while Weston was finishing college. After some serious negotiations over Dunkin Dounuts coffee, the idea of Cotton King was born. They now have 10 employees and customers all over the world. The End . . . not really this is just the beginning!
