Cottonwood Estates is currently under quarantine due to possible exposures from positive employees and/or employees with a positive family member with whom they were in contact with. I would like to clarify that ALL residents have been tested and are negative. Also our employees that are currently not in quarantine have been tested and are negative. No one is currently having any symptoms of COVID-19. We are in contact with the Central District Health Department and are following guidelines for personal protective equipment. Families will be receiving letters. Our quarantine will end November 16th and in the meantime no one will be allowed in the building other than necessary personnel.

Continuing to keep an ailing senior at home without the proper care being given isn't ideal. Not only will their well-being be affected, their safety may also be compromised as they try to perform the activities of daily living.
A national survey by the American Association of Retire Persons found that 2 out of every 3 seniors will require the level of care provided in assisted livings at some point in their lives.
Although Parkinson's is much less common than Alzheimer's disease, there are more people in the country with Parkinson's than multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, and Lou Gehrig's disease combined, according to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.

Aside from quality healthcare, your elderly loved ones also need companionship and support from people dealing with the same health concerns. Nursing homes can help them connect with groups of people who can provide them encouragement and support.

Shout out Brandy at BB's-Brandy's Balloons CBA for the awesome balloons. She made the little snowmen for each resident and the big high-low centerpiece. The residents loved them.
