This week is national vet tech week! We are so proud of our technicians at Coulter Animal Hospital. They are the glue that makes this clinic run! Our technicians love their patients and put in extra time to make them comfortable while they are with us! Did you know that technicians are trained to/ responsible for: -obtaining and recording patient case histories -collect specimens and perform laboratory procedures -provide specialized nursing care -prepare animals, instruments, and equipment for surgery -assist in diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures -perform radiographs (X-rays) -advise and educate animal owners -perform dental prophylaxes Just to name a few! Many of our techs are also full time students or have families as well! Stop in and say “thank you” to our wonderful technicians this week for all they do!
