I am a doctor of Clinical Psychology Degree candidate, with 20 + years, combined, of mental health counseling, consultation, and teaching. Mental health experience includes: counseling, psychotherapy, psychosocial educational classes, court-ordered evaluations; university student counseling and community outreach programs (Gonzaga University Spokane, WA); Georgia Family and Child Protective Services Specialist, and professional counselor supervision.
I have advanced education and training in the following areas: Counseling & Personality theories, psychopathology, psychopharmacology, Ethics and the law, psychological assessments, marriage and family therapy, consultation, psychology of domestic violence and child abuse reporting, multicultural counseling, career counseling, and counseling children and adolescents. I provide counseling that is based on research, experience, and practices that are shown to assist clients in recovering from various mental/behavioral illnesses that may have resulted from trauma both childhood and adulthood-onset.
I am very much aware of how much extra privacy some of my high profile clients need and I do everything possible to provide a safe and comfortable environment where clients can work on their personal challenges. Marriage/relationship changes, personnel issues, loss of motivation, family conflicts are some of the stressors that can overwhelm any professional. Consultations can help with these and other challenges.
