Couriers of San Antonio is a by-product of years of experience and hard work in the delivery business in San Antonio and South Texas. In 1986, Bill Jackson left the field of organizational management and went to work for a local delivery company. Bill Jackson learned the business "from the ground up" as a driver, dispatcher, and sales representative.
After working for a large delivery company in 1987 and 1988, Jackson decided to start a company dedicated to "quality service and fair treatment" to its customers and people. With the assistance of Dewey Smith and two other partners, they set out on this mission and a corporation was organized and began operation on February 1st, 1989.
During the early months, Jackson and Smith managed and sold new accounts, dispatched and drove for the company. In August of 1989, the services of Nadine Langston were obtained as a commissioned sales person. Mrs. Langston had several years experience in working in various levels of the deliver business, and her expertise was soon paying off in increased sales and gross revenues. By the end of 1989 COSA had tripled its volume in terms of gross sales per month.
Included in its successful approach is the implementation of computerized billing and dispatch capabilities and diversification of markets served. Also included is a strong emphasis on time sensitive and crucial medical segments of our economy and military medical records logistics for our military bases.
