Our caregivers are thoroughly screened and trained before they are given an assignment. We strive to maintain long term relationships with our clients and caregivers. Every week we formally recognize at least one caregiver for outstanding service . In addition, we offer mini-medical insurance and IRA matching funds to promote low caregiver turnover. We offer industry leading wages and an innovative career path for caregivers that allows them to earn raises and additional responsibilities. We have created our own dementia training program that teaches our caregivers, through roll playing, strategies for working with some of the challenging behaviors associated with dementia. Finally, we have a Nutrition and Cooking training for Seniors that includes dozens of healthy and appetizing recipes.
Office personnel formally introduce caregivers to their clients when there is a new assignment. We follow up with a phone call after the first day of service from a new caregiver and again after two weeks.
Craig Falk, Founder and Owner of Craig Cares
History
Established in 2002.
Prior to founding Craig Cares in 2002, Craig worked for Cardinal Health for 11 years. While at Cardinal, Craig managed teams of up to 30 professionals. While he loved Cardinal and his work there, Craig always wanted to have his own business and choose Home Care after asking friends what services were needed in the Sacramento area. After over six months of rigorous research, Craig wrote a detailed business plan, and launched the business. Craig hired a consultant, Ginny Kenyon, R.N., who worked with him side by side to get started on the right track. Craig Cares provided service to its first client the following week. The company has grown steadily with over 100 active caregivers while providing service to over 950 clients since 2002. In 2006, Craig Cares was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award by the Roseville Chamber of Commerce. In 2010 Craig published the booklet, Safe and Sound at Home - A Guide to Finding the Best Caregiver.
