This is a 3 pound, pus-filled uterus that was removed from an 8 pound dog yesterday. This is an emergency condition known as pyometra, a life-threatening uterine infection that occurs in female animals that have not been spayed. Symptoms are vague, and may include fever, lethargy, vomiting, and loss of appetite, among others. That's why it is so important to have your female pets spayed early!! Our caring team of doctors and nurses worked together and helped save this baby's life. Call or message us if you would like more information about the preventative health effects of having your dog or cat spayed!
Doctor David reporting for duty! We want to wish everyone a happy Wednesday!
Happy National Dog Day from Sparkle!
Everyone say hello to Echo, he is our pet of the week! He was here today for his yearly visit and he was the sweetest boy, he loves his pets and giving kisses to all the staff.
We want to wish our clinic cat David a VERY happy birthday! David has been with us for 12 years and he doesn't look a day over 5 years old. He is the sweetest boy and loves his cuddles and treats.
This sweet boy is looking for a home! Tyson is a 10 year old male, neutered American Bulldog mix. He was named after Mike Tyson due to his “black eye and wimpy bark”. He is still full of energy, especially for a 10 year old! Tyson has always been friendly and does well with other dogs, but will likely do best with another large breed dog or as an only dog. Please contact us if you are interested in meeting this wonderful dog!

This slab fracture is why your pet should not be given hard chew toys such as antlers, Nylabones, and marrow bones. Luckily, this tooth was able to be saved with a dental composite. Unfortunately, the other tooth he fractured was not salvageable and was surgically extracted.
