Welcome to
Creative Care has offered innovative substance abuse and mental health care to the men and women of greater Los Angeles for more than 30 years. Co-founded in 1989 and owned and operated by the Khaleghi family ever since, Creative Care provides a complete range of drug and alcohol rehabilitation services at four San Fernando Valley, California, facilities: two in Calabasas, another in Woodland Hills, and one in Malibu.
Established and managed by clinicians and psychoanalysts Morteza Khaleghi, PhD, LMFT, and Karen Khaleghi, PhD, Creative Care’s mission is to understand early experiences and underlying causes that manifest mental health difficulties and addiction struggles throughout adulthood. The husband-and-wife team pioneered a dual diagnosis approach in the treatment of addiction and have dedicated their lives to caring for clients and their families.
Each boutique facility provides an intimate, safe environment for detox, confronting attachment challenges, and building skills. At each luxury villa-like facility, the Creative Care team uses a biopsychosocial approach, a psychoanalytic frame, and evidence-based practices to get patients and their families on the road to recovery.
With compassion, integrity, and spirituality, the clinicians implement individualized 24/7 treatment plans to assist resident patients in connecting the dots and improving their quality of life. That takes integrating the impact of historical traumas, understanding intricate interpersonal dynamics, and identifying mental health difficulties.
Every patient receives a comprehensive assessment by Creative Care’s triple board-certified psychiatrist and seasoned clinicians, ensuring diagnostic accuracy through psychological evaluation, physical examinations, and clinical observation. The team treats the whole person with 12-step group programs, interventions, and other treatments completely tailored to each unique patient for the highest level of care.
The Creative Care team believes in unearthing and understanding the core of each patient’s experiences, collaborating with them to target symptoms, achieve goals, and join them in their recovery journey.
