Storm season is here and once again Mother Nature has reminded us who's boss. It's not just hurricanes that can cause massive property damage. A) verify their license number with the state
B) require proof of General Liability insurance, and verify with the insurance company that their coverage is valid.

We always try to plan for the worst and hope for the best, but many times I see that property owners with concrete and metal buildings opt to not include wind and storm coverage in their policies due to how these types of buildings may hold up against wind. The picture below is of a concrete and metal building that caught fire as a result of damage from hurricane Irma. As you can see it is a total loss, and because the fire was a direct result of a storm, without the wind and storm coverage in their policy, something like this would likely not be covered.
