Anu is 4 years old and has spent most of her life at Crosspointe. She has been with us for over 3 years. She is so deserving of a loving home so we are asking for your help to find Anu her purrfect family. Please share this post and let's get "Nu-Nu" the home she deserves!

This is what 2 years of dedication, patience, trust-building and love looks like. 2 years ago Anu was at a shelter and deemed "too feral" for adoption. Fortunately the shelter reached out to one of our contacts and we (especially Rachel who loves all the ferals) jumped in to offer Anu, "a new" chance at life. Although we love her to pieces, it's time for her to get the home and life she deserves. Share this with anyone you think can give Anu, "a whole new world, a new fantastic point of view, because she's come so far, someone to share this whole new world with her. :-)
As some of you know, we do a lot of work with local rescues. Unfortunately, many of them come to us heartworm positive because they were never properly cared for. Honey is one of those cases. Honey came to medically board with us after being pulled from a shelter by Mutt Love Rescue. She had a painful eye condition, heartworm disease and a tick-borne disease. Mutt Love had her eye condition taken care of at a specialty vet and we were treating her other medical conditions.
Heartworm treatment is a painful process and can come with complications. Several days after receiving her last treatment, we noticed Honey had labored breathing and knew she needed advanced oxygen therapy. After several days at the ER clinic receiving 24/7 oxygen therapy, Honey sadly passed away. We are all heartbroken by the loss of Honey. She was as sweet as her name implies and brought joy to all of us. Honey was well loved by everyone who met her. 🐾❤️
Use this as a reminder to keep your furry family members current on all of their heartworm and flea and tick preventatives.
