CR’U Barbering students receive the most comprehensive training in every aspect. We boast a 100% passing rate of the California State Board of Barbering exam. Yes, 100% of our graduates who have taken the exam in 2014 and 2015 have passed. We have been able to achieve this by teaching not only the theory of Barbering, but by teaching extensively in the arts of shaving, clipper work on men’s hair, beards and mustaches, as well as cutting and styling men’s hair. You’ll also learn all the sanitation, sterilization and safety practices required by the Ca. State Board.
Barbering students are also trained using LAYRITE products. CR’U offers Federal financial aid for the Barber program, for those who qualify.
CR’U’s Cosmetology program students learn not only the theory of Cosmetology they also learn the best techniques for washing, cutting, coloring and styling hair from our extensively trained cosmetology instructors. Students also receive training about skin care and the art of make-up application. In fact we teach an additional 100 hours of just Make-up artistry from our Mac make-up trained instructors. CR'U Institute is the only vocational school offering this one of a kind Cosmetology training with its Make-up course. CR’U offers Federal financial aid for this program for those who qualify.
CR’U’s Barber Crossover program allows a licensed Cosmetologist to become a licensed Barber by taking an additional 200 hours of Barber training. This abbreviated course teaches students all the skills necessary to become licensed in Barbering.
CR’U Institute is Accredited by The National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS) and approved by the U.S. Department of Education to offer Financial Aid to qualified applicants.
