Despite being forced from our normal daily routines, the C.T. Male Softball team was able to get an abbreviated season in, once the Town of Clifton Park was able to open its softball fields. With social distancing and extra sanitizing measures in place at each game, the C.T. Male Softball Team completed play in our 20th season this week! The team played a 6 game schedule in the Century Hill Softball League against opponents including other Architectural & Engineering Firms, NYSDEC and NYSDOH personnel, various businesses located on Century Hill Drive, and teams containing players spanning multiple companies and backgrounds.
The 2020 team finished with a record of 3 wins and 3 losses and averaged 17.8 runs per game. A total of 17 players participated this season, including 9 current employees, 2 spouses of current employees, 1 sibling of a current employee, and 1 former employee. Three of these team members (Bob DiBella, Joe Farron and Phil Moehringer) have been playing since the team started in August 2001!

Dave D'Amore, Managing Architect at C.T. Male Associates, was the architect for this project. Dave provided Dr. Will with full service design, bidding and construction management services.
The project is the second practice location for Dr. Mark Will and his staff from Glove Cities Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Will saw an opportunity with the shifting demands of clients and employee recruitment, along with the limits of single vet practices, to create an advanced animal hospital in the Amsterdam area. The facility draws its name from Dove Creek, a small stream and ravine that runs just to the west of the site. His state of the art building is 5,000 SF and will support the work of 2-3 veterinarians as well as technicians and support staff. The building was also an opportunity to further develop his brand through the architecture with the use of a modern design palette and color scheme. The interior is designed to reduce fear and anxiety in his patients as well as provide natural light and views to the exterior for staff. All of this accomplished amidst a Global Pandemic and economic contraction.

Dr. Will and staff provide a full spectrum of small animal, general medicine, surgical services and urgent veterinary services.

We're excited to announce Wildwood's "Best of 2020" 🤩 We want to give a HUGE shoutout to every employer, volunteer site, community partner, and donor organization on this list. Thanks to this support, people with disabilities have been able to continue to work their essential jobs, volunteer for those in need, and connect virtually with others in the community.
Locations are recognized due to their impact on and involvement with the greatest number of individuals in 2020. This is only a small glimpse of the success we've had this year, and we are thankful for everyone's connection to Wildwood (no matter the size!). Wondering why a drone was flying over City Hall this week? We are mapping a plan to restore our historic and beautiful building – the roof, windows, masonry, decorative metalwork and flag pole – and the drone is providing essential images.
This is one more step in the process of understanding the current condition of this unique building, so that we can pursue Federal, State, and other funding to support this component of our #RestoreHistoricCohoes initiative.
Built in 1895, in the Romanesque Revival style, it was the first building in the city constructed with public funds.
