Hello everyone!
All of us here at Custom Dental Care would like to wish you a very happy 4th of July!
We are a little over a month into our reopening and we would like to thank you all for being patient, flexible, and understanding during this time. We had over 1000 appointments that had to be moved, rescheduled, or cancelled so needless to say we have been as busy as ever since being able to see non-emergency appointments again. At this point, we have reached out to many of you to try and arrange new appointment times, but if you have not heard from us yet please feel free to call us and we will do our best to get your appointment rescheduled.
As you will notice, there are several things that will look different to you than the last time you came to see us but we are trying to do our best to keep our patients, our staff, and all of our families as safe as we possibly can. We have had some changes in hours, staff, and appointment lengths. But with all of this we are doing our very best to try and achieve the safest experience for you and the most efficient work-flow that we can for our office.
The first thing you will notice is our restricted waiting room policy. In an effort to achieve maximum social distancing, we are asking that when you arrive just call or text us to let us know you are here and we will come get you or wave you in. If our waiting room is empty checking in and checking out will be a breeze and you won’t have to worry about anyone else being in your space! We have also removed many chairs so if keeping the waiting room empty isn’t possible, social distancing will be. All of our magazines and books have also been removed to keep things as ‘contact-free’ as possible.
Another thing you will notice is that the temperature in the office is quite cool. The reason for this is because our employees dealing with patient care are layered up for maximum protection (for you and for us). There aren’t as many appointment times available in our days now because we have to accommodate for more time in between patients so your appointments may be a bit longer in order to try and get more done while you are here. It gets quite warm for us wearing all the layers all day long, so please remember to dress accordingly when coming in for your appointments.
There are multiple new pieces of equipment in the office which you may or may not notice that are designed to continue to bring you state-of-the-art treatment in the safest manner possible. One of these additions that you won’t see but will undoubtedly reap the benefits of is an Air Scrubber. We have installed multiple Air Scrubbers in the office to help treat the air and remove as many harmful particles and aerosols from our air supply as possible. The system uses advanced filtration methods, ionization of airborne particles, and ultra violet light to help clean the air. The technology used to treat the air is reliable and of the highest quality as it is actually patented and used by NASA.
Some of these things mentioned may or may not go back to the way they used to be. Whether they do or not, we will continue to adapt to our changing world and you can always count on us to give you the safest, best experience that we possibly can! We look forward to seeing you all soon.
