Today on December 10 in 1922 1st National Football League Championship: The undefeated Canton Bulldogs (10-0-2) were named inaugural champions lead by head coach Jim Thorpe. Jim Thorpe was the first Native American to win a Gold Medal for the United States in 1912.
The team was from Canton Ohio the future home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Even though I am not a sports fan I was impressed by the Hall of Fame when I visited it in the late 70's.
