Cincinnati Life’s Return of Premium Term product is one of the few left in the industry, and the policy options make it highly attractive. At the end of the term period or the policy anniversary following the insured’s 70th birthday, whichever comes first, insureds can choose to:
• Convert to a permanent policy
• Receive a refund of base premiums
• Continue with a reduced paid-up policy
The paid-up option for insureds aged 55 through 65 can be roughly 40-90% of the original face amount, depending upon the issue age and underwriting class. This option lasts until age 99 with no additional premium.
Whether the policyholder chooses to convert the policy, accept a refund of the entire premiums paid in or continue with a reduced policy at the end of the term, they can rest assured that there is no risk of losing either protection or all of the money paid into the original policy.
