Since arriving at D1 Columbus in July 2011 to pursue my true passion of fitness and wellness, D1 has been my life - and it has been an incredible journey. It has been an honor to be a part of our athletes lives and watch them grow into healthy, determined, and active adults. I have been privileged to work side by side in our adult programs to assist our members in making healthy lifestyle adjustments and build long lasting personal relationships. Thank you for providing me the opportunity to work on a team with top of the line Coaches that have enabled me to learn and grow as a Coach myself.
I would like to thank all of our members, (past and current) who have believed in me and supported D1 Columbus to build a supportive, hard working, and accepting D1 community. As I move on to a new chapter, I wish you all the best and hope you continue to set new goals and chase after the healthy lifestyle that you deserve.

We are thrilled to welcome Caroline Fruhling to the D1 family as our new Sports Dietician! π
Carolineβs mission is to empower athletes and active individuals to look at nutrition as an extension of their training and fuel them to lead healthier lives. A main philosophy she uses for sports nutrition is a food first approach with an emphasis on nutrition quality and timing.
Caroline will be offering nutritional services for:
- Nutrition Assessment and Counseling
- Individualized Food Plans
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration with Coaching Staffs
- Dietary Supplement Evaluation
- Menu & Travel Planning
- Grocery Store Tours
- Group/Team Nutrition Education
βWhy is it important to work on flexibility? β
Better flexibility can:
- Improve your performance in physical activities
- Improve mobility + posture
- Decrease risk of injury
So don't slack on your stretching! Improving your flexibility is something that should always be on your goal list. πͺ
π£Letβs talk POSTURE!
They say that the first thing you notice about another person is their posture, but the benefits of having good posture go beyond appearances. Having good posture keeps your joints + bones in alignment, decreases stress on the spinal ligaments, + ensures your muscles are being uses efficiently. πββοΈ
To improve your posture, itβs important to utilize workouts that strengthen your core - these are the lower + back muscles that connect your spine to your pelvis. Try incorporating medicine balls into your core workouts to push yourself, or check out one of our bootcamp classes to work on this with one of our expert trainers. πͺ
