Yesterday I spent 4 hours straight in my covid patient's room, trying to save their life. You see this young patient was able to make the choice when they were ready to be intubated, and it's very possible waited too long, but the patient was able to take control of their care. By the time we were intubating the patient (putting the breathing tube in) the patient was breathing 40-50 times a minute, on 100% oxygen via bipap, with sats being in the 50's (you want that greater than 90.) I entered the room at 1145 and didn't leave for the first time until 4pm. The patient coded 4 times in those 4 hours, and another 2 times after that. We, with the permission of family allowed the patient to pass after extreme efforts.
You say you don't want to wear a mask due to discomfort, you're worried about carbon dioxide, it's uncomfortable. STOP. Please just stop. Masks may not stop you from getting this 100% but they help, and we need all the help we can get. Wash your hands, use hands sanitizer. And if you wanna try and tell me covid aint real and it's political, or some other crock of crap, don't bother. My patient and my sweat soaked scrubs say otherwise. #covidsucks

Well, I got my Covid vaccine today. So far, I can’t read or speak Russian or Chinese, I don’t have horns growing out of my head, I haven’t had the irresistible urge to surrender my gun, I’m pretty sure I don’t have a microchip under my skin, and I’m told I don’t look any different. My arm isn’t even sore. I already stuttered, so that’s not a side effect. I’d say today has been a success.
If I start howling at the moon tonight, I’ll post an update.
Lindsey Dickey is with Cindy Myrick and 3 others.

My very awesome coworkers and I went to get the Pfizer vaccine today!! We are all feeling fine with maybe a little bit of a sore arm! Obviously, we are poking fun at the whole side effect thing, but we are thankful to be able to receive it so soon. If you are a first responder or someone that has direct contact with patients, you are eligible to receive it also!! Don’t worry, Dr Dale Entrekin got his yesterday! #overcovid19
We practice social distancing with our patients, regardless of who you are!
We are looking to hire a part time dental hygienist to work two days per week. And of course this is the friendliest office ever, has great employees who all really like each other, and not to mention a very easy going boss. Please contact if interested.
