The classes that will use the front/street entrance tonight are Cecchetti 4 from 4-5pm, Pre/K 3-4yrs from 5-5:45, Ballet/tap 5-6yrs from 6-6:50pm, modern 2 from 7-7:45pm. Please use street parking so you can see your child enter and exit the building for those classes. All other classes tonight will enter using the side entrance by the tents, and parents will park in the back lot. See you tonight!!!

Today's classes that use the front/street entrance under the teal awning are Modern 3 4:15-5pm, Ballet/Tap for 5-6 yrs 5:30-6:15pm, Int Modern B 6:45-7:30. Please use street parking for these classes so you can see your child enter and exit class. All other classes can use the back parking lot and use the regular side entrance. We had to adjust two modern times, as we realized they had conflicts with other classes. Modern 3 is now 4:15-5pm (instead of starting at 4:30) and Int Modern B is 6:45-7:30 (instead of starting at 6:30).
We are letting dancers in a few minutes early if the cleaning is complete, especially the classes that meet after it gets dark. Thanks!
Couple updates:
1. There are still a few spaces available, but we are almost full in most of our classes. If you haven’t registered yet, make sure you go online and fill out the registration form and the $25 registration fee to hold your dancers spot in class. We actually have a waiting list for a few classes.
2. Classes begin the Tuesday after Labor Day, Sept 8.
3. Summer office hours at the studio are Tues and Thur 4-6pm this week and next.
4. Dancers that participated in the July recital: You will receive a confirmation email about your recital DVD order. You only need to respond if the order is incorrect. If you wanted to order a dvd but missed the deadline - you can still pre-pay and order one this week. Just call or email the studio.

Over the weekend our State Street Dance Company members performed in our fall performance. Due to current gathering restrictions, the dancers had to dance 4 shows in a row to allow all of their families a chance to see the show!!! It was a brutal but beautiful day, a we are so grateful to #thehett for hosting our performances. Great job ssdc dancers, very proud of your endurance and grace!!
Our new app is up and running! The Oct newsletter you are getting this week will tell you all about it and give you instructions on how to get it and to allow the notifications so you always know when something new is added. Very exciting!!’ Thanks to thefourcegroup.com for making this happen for us! Here is a video of my advanced dancers working on their upcoming SSDC show. We are so excited for this weekend, but so disappointed we can’t invite everyone to see the show this year. But here is a little clip of loveliness. 💕 The dancestation teachers are loving seeing the dancers every day! We have all adapted to the masks and temperature checks and extra cleaning in record time, and we are just soooo grateful to continue doing what we love.

Good news: Miss Jenny B is negative for Covid! Bad news: she's still sick. So her classes are cancelled for the evening. All other classes still meet. We will be offering make up classes near the end of November for many classes - probably over zoom so that many students can take part in any missed classes for this year. Just in the last week, we have suddenly seen many dancers absent from classes due to illness (mostly non-Covid related). Please do not send your child to class if they are ill. Thanks!
Also, later this week, the videos we took of the dancers for "watch week" will be sent out. We found out over the weekend that we were missing many registration forms from families, so we didn't have everyone's info quite yet. But we are working on it and will try to send videos to your email on Friday. My older SSDC dancers did not have recordings made of their classes, because we were focused on getting ready for their show, which the parents were fortunate enough to see live. thanks! E
Miss Jenny B (short dark hair) is sick today, so her classes this evening are cancelled. She is getting tested in the morning out of an abundance of caution, but expects to be negative. We will keep you posted. All other classes this evening will meet. See you soon!
Today is the start of Halloween week at dancestation. Your dancer may wear Halloween attire, part or all of their costume, or even an old dance costume, to class as long as they wear their dance clothes underneath (and as long as they can actually dance in their costume). The teachers will be handing out presealed baggies of treats or pencils, etc. If you are not comfortable with this please tell your teacher when you drop your kids off ‘no treats’ and we will give them a stamp instead.

Happy Thanksgiving break! No regular classes this week, but don’t forget to log into Jenny B’s make-up classes over Zoom today! She sent a link to everyone’s email for those two days she was sick. Wednesday classes are tonight and Tuesday classes are tomorrow. Also, I will be sending out the link to our YouTube channel over the app shortly! If you still dont have the app, you are missing tons of info. Please download it and allow notifications so you will get the alerts when a new post is up. After you get an alert, the new post will always be found under the ‘news’ section of the app.
Our YouTube classes are labeled by age/level/style of dance. Anyone who missed classes this semester, these are for you! All of our teachers used Christmas music and dance combinations to make it extra fun for our dancers to follow along at home! Happy Thanksgiving- stay safe!!!
