Yip, M.D., is a cardiologist with the Heart Transplant Program within the Transplant Center at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. His primary clinical interests include caring for patients with advanced heart failure, the use of advanced medical therapies for the treatment of heart failure, the use of advanced surgical therapies for the treatment of heart failure, such as mechanical circulatory support which includes the evaluation and management of patients with left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), and evaluation and management of patients who may benefit from heart transplantation. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Yip leads Mayo Clinic in Florida's patient experience efforts. Dr. Yip is also a member of the Communication in Healthcare faculty, delivering courses and consultation to improve communication between health care providers and patients, as well as among health care providers.
