Dr. Sidney graduated from the State University of New York in Brooklyn, N.Y. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. and received fellowships in cardiology and electrophysiology from the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston.
As an electrophysiologist, he detects, evaluates and treats electrical problems in the heart (the cause of arrhythmias). His clinical focus includes electrophysiology studies, implantable cardiac defibrillators, biventricular pacemakers, cardiac ablations and atrial fibrillation ablations.
Dr. Sidney is married and has three small children. When time permits, he enjoys playing tennis.
